Type of Scam: IRS/CRA Scam

This number called and I was left a message with a person identifying themselves as "Officer Thompson of the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA)." The man calling had a very thick accent. I called the CRA using a number I found online and they told me that firstly, CRA agents don't identify themselves as "Officers"; in addtion, after checking my file, there were no notes of this attempted contact which there should have been.
