The SRA has been informed that emails have been sent which fraudulently claim to be from "John Humphreys" at "Charles-Coleman - Solicitors and Advocates".
The emails state they enclose "draft contract documentation". The recipient should be advised that the link may contain malware.
The email the SRA has seen was sent from someone claiming to be "John Humphreys", using the email address "jh@charles-coleman.org.uk" and stating he is an Administrative Assistant in the conveyancing department of "Charles-Coleman - Solicitors and Advocates".
The email gives false contact details of: 19 Beach Road, South Shields, Tyne & Wear NE33 2QA, telephone 0191 4974630 and 0191 4555361, and fax number 0191 4975895. These are in fact the genuine contact details of a different and unconnected firm of solicitors (see below).
Any business or transaction through the email address "jh@charles-coleman.org.uk" is not undertaken by a solicitor's practice or an individual authorised and regulated by the SRA.

The emails the SRA has seen have been sent from "robertson@remit-worldpay.co.uk". In the email "Robertson Humphreys" is described as an "Administrative Assistant" in the conveyancing department.
The emails also state the address of the firm as 19 Beach Road, South Shields, Tyne & Wear NE33 2QA, telephone numbers 0191 4974102 and 0191 4555101, fax number 0191 4975895. Some of these contact details are for a genuine firm of solicitors (see below) who are not connected to this scam.
The SRA does not authorise or regulate any persons with the name "Robertson Humphreys".
Any business or transactions through the names "Robertson Humphreys", "Robertson Conveyancing Limited" and/or the email address "robertson@remit-worldpay.co.uk" are not undertaken by a solicitor's practice or an individual authorised and regulated by the SRA.
