Type of Scam: Advance Fee Fraud Scam

A member of the public has received emails regarding a purported inheritance from a "Mr Anderson" / "Consultant Anderson", who falsely claims to be connected with Sherrards Solicitors LLP.
The emails are sent from the email address consultanderson26@gmail.com and ask the recipient to transfer money to an address in Tyler, Texas.
In one of the emails seen by the SRA, "Mr Anderson" falsely claims to work for "Sherrards Solicitors" and misuses the address and fax number of a genuine firm (see below). The email also gives a contact telephone number of +44 (0)7035938964.
Any business or transactions through the email address consultanderson26@gmail.com or the telephone number +44 (0)7035938964 are not undertaken by a solicitor's practice or an individual authorised or regulated by the SRA.
