He sent me this email first then after a few conversations he provided me this number and sent me a contract to sign. I did not get back to him yet but all this smells funny to me.

It's a scam. Legitimate businesses do not use free email addresses like Gmail.

Your other post is also a scam. Anyone who tries to refer you to a travel agent to get visas is a scammer. Visas have to be applied for in person at the embassy/consulate in your country.
